How long can I keep the dumpster?

The rental provider’s terms will spell out the standard rental duration. In most cases, 5-7 days is a normal rental period. You can often extend or shorten these terms upon request and there is usually a daily fee for extending the rental period. Additionally, they need to tarp the load, and if they cannot secure the tarp down properly, they may need to remove some debris from the top. The same goes for weight, although this is generally only an issue with heavy debris, like concrete, brick, roofing shingles, or dirt. If you fill the dumpster beyond the truck's lifting capacity, you will have to remove some of the debris.
