Because it can sometimes be hard to determine the ideal dumpster size for your project—and because most people find more junk to get rid of when there’s a dumpster sitting in their driveway—we recommend you going with the larger option when choosing your dumpster size.
For example, if you have roughly 10 yards worth of junk in your house that you want to get rid of, round up and get a 20 yard dumpster rather than a 10 yard container (or a 15 yard dumpster if they’re available).
This will save you any problems, like having to pay weight overage fees or to rent another dumpster should you end up with more debris than you thought.
