Construction Dumpster Tips for Egg Harbor Township, NJ
How much can I put in a construction dumpster?
Dense, heavy debris, like concrete or dirt, can weigh as much as 1 ton per cubic yard, and this weight adds up quickly. A 20 yard dumpster with a 4 ton weight limit would only allow for about 4 yards of heavy debris, which is not even a quarter of the way full in a 20 yard bin. To be sure the dumpster is not overfilled, always discuss with your dumpster rental provider the type and approximate amount of waste, junk, or debris you will be disposing of. They are the experts and can help ensure you don’t exceed the weight limit of the bin.
What size construction dumpster should I use?
The most common size construction dumpsters are 10 yard, 20 yard, 30 yard, and 40 yard containers. Sizes and availability vary from one company to the next, so check with multiple different companies to get the size you need. Some rental providers specialize in compact dumpsters designed specifically for residential use in a driveway (e.g., home renovations, remodeling projects, small cleanouts, and other small home projects).
