Roll Off Dumpster Tips for Scotts, MI
How much weight is included in my dumpster rental cost?
Generally, the bigger the container, the more weight you are allowed.
Here are some rough estimates:
- 10 yarder: 1-3 tons of included weight
- 20 yarder: 3 tons of included weight
- 30 yarder: 3-4 tons of included weight
- 40 yarder: 4-6 tons of included weight
Some rental providers offer unlimited weight with each rental, however, you are not allowed to overload the dumpster beyond a certain point.
For example, there may be a “fill line” painted on the inside of the container you must keep the debris level below.
Other rental providers charge you almost exclusively by weight rather than charging you a base rate + including a weight allowance.
This is an affordable choice if your debris is lightweight, such as lumber or household trash.
This may not always be cost-effective for heavy debris, such as concrete or roofing shingles.
