Managing your dumpster rental bookings with Hometown has never been easier. Once you enable online booking, here’s what to expect step by step:
1. Receive Booking Requests Instantly
Customers can find and book your dumpsters online. When they do, you’ll get an immediate notification via SMS text message or email. At this point, you can accept or decline the request.
Tip: We recommend accepting or declining the request as quickly as you can. Fast responses, especially when you accept the booking, play a major role in the customer having a positive experience and can significantly improve booking conversion rates and your online reputation.
2. Access Full Customer & Job Details
After accepting a booking, you’ll receive:

Customer name and phone number

Service address and any special instructions
-
Delivery and pickup dates
-
Terms of the booking
-
Net payment due to you
3. Set Up Your Payouts
After your first booking, we need to verify a few business details so we can deposit funds to your bank account.
We use Stripe to get you paid quickly and keep your payout information secure. Stripe is the largest payment and payout processor for online marketplaces, trusted by companies like Amazon, Shopify, booking.com and many more.
Stripe will ask a few business verification questions and your bank details so you can receive deposits from Hometown. The process only takes about 5 minutes.
To set up your payouts, visit "Payouts" in Bookable. Hometown will prompt you to complete set up after you receive your first booking.
4. Manage Your Listings & Pricing
Hometown's Bookable interface makes it easy to control your rentals:

Turn dumpster booking on or off

Edit dumpster sizes, types, and dimensions

Adjust pricing or add location-based fees

Update waste type instructions or other service notes

Upload custom images of your dumpsters for a more professional look
