I had the absolute misfortune of renting a dumpster from Chris Neisen & Sons LLC, and I cannot emphasize enough how terrible this experience was from start to finish. If I could give them negative stars, I would. To start, the customer service was appalling. When I called to inquire about pricing and availability, I was met with the most uninterested and dismissive tone imaginable. The representative, who I suspect was Chris himself, sounded like he had better things to do than run a business. I should have taken this as a red flag, but against my better judgment, I proceeded with the rental. The dumpster was scheduled to arrive at 10 a.m. on Monday. It didn’t show up until nearly 5 p.m. — after countless phone calls to their office that either went unanswered or were met with excuses ranging from “the driver got lost” to “there’s traffic.” The kicker? Their office is only 15 minutes from my house. When the dumpster finally arrived, it looked like it had been through a warzone. The thing was rusted, covered in graffiti, and reeked of something that can only be described as a mix of rotting fish and despair. I could barely stand near it without gagging. How a dumpster company doesn’t bother to clean or maintain their equipment is beyond me. As if that wasn’t bad enough, the driver left it in the middle of my driveway instead of where I had clearly specified, blocking my garage. When I asked if he could move it, he just shrugged, muttered something under his breath, and drove off. The rental itself was overpriced, especially considering they hit me with a slew of hidden fees. A “placement fee”? A “processing fee”? A “delivery adjustment fee”? None of this was disclosed upfront, and when I tried to dispute the charges, I was told, “It’s in the fine print.” Spoiler alert: It wasn’t. Returning the dumpster was somehow even worse. I called to schedule a pickup, and they told me it would be removed within 48 hours. Five days later, it was still sitting there, and when I called to follow up, they claimed they had no record of my request. It was eventually taken away a full week late, leaving behind tire marks on my driveway and a lingering stench that took days to dissipate. Chris Neisen & Sons LLC is an absolute joke of a company. They are unprofessional, overpriced, and completely incapable of providing even the most basic level of service. Save yourself the headache and rent a dumpster from literally anyone else.
These people are not to be trusted. They will give you a contract and say they will finish the job, but if you pay in full, the job will not be completed unless it suits them. My job with them started almost 4 months ago, and despite 15 or more emails and dozens of texts, they have still not completed their end, even though I have paid in full.. My advice would be to not pay them the full amount until they’ve completed their job.
